Varieties
60% Samsó (Carignan) and 40% Garnatxa negra (Red Grenache).

Climate
Mediterranean, with strong and dry northern wind (Tramuntana) and sea breezes in the afternoon.

Yield
Samsó old vines produce 4.000 Kg/ha and Garnatxa around 5.000 Kg/ha, both are bush vines.

Location of the vineyards
In the plain, 50 meters high.

Soils
Alluvial, sandy and clay.

Harvest
Grapes picked by hand in the last week of September and in the beginning of October, using plastic crates.

Vinification process
Chilling the grapes for 24 hours after they go through a crusher destemmer before the cold maceration for 48 hours at 10ºC. Fermentation and skin contact for 16 days at 24-26ºC.

Ageing process
Part of the blending spends five months in oak barrels. Then, iIt’s kept in stainless tanks for the rest of the time until it was bottled in October 2014.

Tasting note: It has a light, well-defined nose with touches of shellfish infusing the crisp dark berry fruit. The palate is high-toned with chunky blackberry and raspberry fruit that leads to a cherry, citric finish with a nice edge.
