60% Samsó (Carignan) and 40% Garnatxa negra (Red Grenache)
Mediterranean, with strong and dry northern wind (Tramuntana) and sea breezes in the afternoon
Samsó old vines produce 3.500 Kg/ ha and Garnatxa around 4.000 Kg/ha, both are bush vines
Location of the Vineyards
In the plain, 50 meters high
63% Sandy, 23% Alluvial and 14% Clay
Grapes picked by hand in the last week of September and in the beginning of October, using plastic crates.
Chilling the grapes for 24 hours after they go through a crusher de stemmer before the cold maceration for 48 hours at 10oC. Fermentation and skin contact for 16 days at 24- 26oC.
